How we use your data

Under the new Data Protection laws, we cannot assume that you consent to us holding your details unless you actively confirm it by filling out a form.

After becoming a member, if you later decide to leave the charity, you can do so by emailing membership@friendswithme.org.uk. Upon receiving your leaving request, we will delete your data from our system.

Data of members will only be accessed by the Committee who runs the charity.

When you apply to be added to our members-only Facebook group, your name (or a carer / family member you have designated) is checked against the membership list.

We use your name and email address as a unique identifier to give you access to the members-only section of the website.

We retain donations and payment information for regulatory purposes.

We do not pass membership data to third parties.

We will only make your contact details available to other members for mutual support via the members-only section of the website if you have requested us to do so via the Contact List form.

You can visit our Noticeboard at any time to see the latest charity news and upcoming events.

We may need to contact you for administrative reasons or we may wish to inform you about Charity news and events. We will do so by the method that you have indicated on the membership form.
